Bees and building: Potrell and Honeybeez team up for a green future

News.

Did you know that bees are not only great for your garden, but also essential for our food? Potrell partners with Honeybeez to lend a hand to our winged friends while contributing to a more sustainable world. How? Read on quickly!

Why are bees so important?

About 80% of all flowering plants are pollinated by insects such as bees. This means that without bees, many of our favourite foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and even some oils, would not exist. What is perhaps more surprising is that even the livestock we raise depend on plants that help bees pollinate. In short, without bees, our meals would look very different. So we desperately need them!

Unfortunately, bees are not doing so well. In Belgium, we lose more than 20% of bee colonies every year. This is due to things like pesticides, diseases and habitat loss.

What are we doing about it?

Together with Honeybeez, we are committed to making the lives of bees a lot better. Honeybeez Beekeeping produces 100% natural, pure honey. No additives or heating, just pure nature. And do you know the best part? Honey from near us contains pollen and bacteria from our own environment. This not only helps to boost your resistance, but can also reduce allergies such as hay fever.

What's in it for us?

Of course, we are not just doing this for the bees. By working with Honeybeez, we contribute to a more sustainable and greener society. This fits perfectly with our sustainable development goals and the Flemish Sustainable Business Charter. And it fosters our green image. Not to mention that we get 15 kilos of delicious honey from Honeybeez every year!

In short

At Potrell, we are not just about building beautiful projects, but also building a better future. We invite you to join us in making a difference. Let's ensure a green future where bees and people go hand in hand.

So the next time you enjoy a delicious piece of fruit, take a moment to think about the bees and how we can work together for their future.
